Evolve Staffing Ltd. is pleased to invite applications from qualified Physiotherapists for a Band 6 Oncology Physiotherapist contract with a premier NHS Trust in Bristol. This rewarding role is focused on providing compassionate, evidence-based physical rehabilitation to inpatient and outpatient oncology populations, addressing post-surgical recovery, palliative management, and cancer-related fatigue.

Core Responsibilities & Clinical Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and devise individualized physical rehabilitation programmes for patients undergoing active cancer treatment or palliative care.
  • Manage complex respiratory, musculoskeletal, and neurological impairment resulting from oncological conditions and surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team (MDT) including Oncologists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Occupational Therapists, and Palliative Care teams.
  • Promote functional independence, pain management strategies, and mobility maintenance to enhance overall quality of life.

Essential Requirements:

  • Full HCPC Registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy with valid CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapy) membership preferred.
  • Substantial post-qualification NHS experience, incorporating specific exposure to clinical oncology or palliative rehab pathways.
  • Exceptional communication skills for managing complex, sensitive patient interactions.
