This company is a driver towards the innovation and development of infrastructure, mining assets and green energy. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer to join the team. Reporting to the Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for day‑to‑day metallurgical operations, along with optimisation of the facility through identifying areas of improvement and non‑compliances and liaising with colleagues to identify solutions. This is a FIFO contract position, working a dayshift only 8:6 roster.

Responsibilities

  • Development of daily production reports to reflect production performance, down‑time causes and key metrics
  • Identification of performance trends to identify areas of improvement
  • Aid in preparing end‑of‑month/end‑of‑quarter/end‑of‑year data
  • Daily walks around the processing facility to identify potential metallurgical‑related issues
  • Develop and drive regular and adhoc plant sampling exercises (e.g., screen panel and weightometer works, sampling compliance, equipment maintenance)
  • Provide metallurgical support, including onsite and offsite process improvement test‑work programs
  • Assist in developing maintenance strategies for metallurgical equipment
  • Ensure adherence to policy framework for HSEC standards and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Experience in SAP, Power BI and Seeq desirable
  • Experience as a process engineer with process plant experience (iron ore preferable)
  • Exposure to mass balancing, including process modelling software desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to safety and strive to achieve zero harm
  • An understanding of both metallurgical‑related production and maintenance
