Evolve Psychology Services is an award-winning, NHS and HSE approved independent psychology and neurodevelopmental practice, founded by Dr. The company provides high-quality services to clients across the UK and Ireland, including neurodevelopmental and psychological assessments for children and young people, as well as expert witness assessments for courts and parole boards, assessments in criminal/prison law, family law, immigration law, and medico-legal cases. We have a proven track record of providing high-quality assessments and delivering on NHS contracts.

This is an exciting and valuable role within a busy and well-established service at our Harrogate Clinic, providing invaluable assessments for children and young people. The role will be based in our Harrogate clinic, where you will be working within the Evolve Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team to provide Autism and/or ADHD evaluations for children referred through NHS Patient Choice and their GP.

Some aspects of the role may be undertaken remotely, but this is a hybrid role. Hybrid roles must be able to travel to the Harrogate clinic to undertake face-to-face assessments.

The role requires conducting comprehensive specialist assessments, including diagnostic assessments of children with suspected Autism and/or ADHD using established diagnostic tools. Mental health assessments may also be required. The clinician is also responsible for writing up assessment reports in a timely and professional manner, as well as providing appropriate recommendations and interventions. Additionally, the clinician may be involved in supervising and supporting junior staff members depending on experience.

Neurodevelopmental practitioner experience with specialist training, as below:

  • Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health difficulties in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and appropriate assessment tools for Autism and ADHD.
  • Experience in report writing and record keeping.
  • Additional qualifications in relevant areas of Autism and/or ADHD are advantageous.
