We are recruiting for a Quality Control Manager to join an established Manufacturing business based in the Dudley area. The Quality Control Manager will have strong leadership background and will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing quality control systems ensuring that products/services meet the required standards. The successful candidate will be leading a team of Quality Control Engineers overall reducing defects and driving continuous improvement.

As the Quality Control Manager you will be required to:

  • Develop and implement Quality Control policies, procedures and standards
  • Manage and train Quality Control staff
  • Encourage teamwork and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Guide and lead the Quality Control team
  • Carry out audits, analyse data and collaborate with production teams
  • Resolve quality issues and implement process changes
  • Carry out regular inspections and audits of products, processes and services
  • Analyse Quality data, identify trends and recommend corrective actions
  • Embedding improvement into all process activities
  • Experience monitoring foundry processes (core making, moulding, melting, pouring, finishing) to identify and address Quality issues

Requirements:

  • Previous leadership experience in a Foundry/Castings environment
  • Knowledge of production processes & foundry capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Embed improvement into process activities
  • Experienced in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality
