Salary — Competitive market rate salary, depending on experience.
Hours — Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week between the office and client locations.
Holiday — 22 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays).
About the Audit Semi‑Senior/Senior role
Our client is the fastest‑growing top 20 accountancy firm in the UK. They are business advisors and accountants, with over 30 years of experience. As an Audit Semi‑Senior/Senior working within their Tamworth office, you will assist partners and managers in completing audit assignments and drafting statutory accounts, either individually or as part of a team to agreed budgets and deadlines. All audits are allocated to a manager, so you will work with the support and guidance of experienced managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them, reviewing budgets through to completing an analytical review.
- Leading smaller audits, supervising, delegating and reviewing the work of trainees.
- Delivering information to clients in a timely manner whilst displaying in-depth client and industry knowledge.
- Monitoring chargeability and assignment budgets proactively.
- Developing specialist sector knowledge and keeping abreast of industry developments.
About You
My client are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 4 years\’ experience within a practice focusing on SME/Owner Managed Clients.
- Ideally a mixture of Audit/Accountancy/Corporate Tax experience with Audit being essential.
- ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified.
- Familiarity with MyWorkpapers would be advantageous.
- Ability to work on assignments either individually or as part of a small team.
