We are recruiting for a Quality Control Manager to join an established Manufacturing business based in the Dudley area. The Quality Control Manager will have a strong leadership background and will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing quality control systems ensuring that products/services meet the required standards. The successful candidate will be leading a team of Quality Control Engineers, overall reducing defects and driving continuous improvement.

As the Quality Control Manager you will be required to:

  • Develop and implement Quality Control policies, procedures and standards
  • Manage and train Quality Control staff
  • Encourage teamwork and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Guide and lead the Quality Control team
  • Carry out audits, analyse data and collaborate with production teams
  • Resolve quality issues and implement process changes
  • Carry out regular inspections and audits of products, processes and services
  • Analyse Quality data, identify trends and recommend corrective actions
  • Embed improvement into all process activities
  • Experience monitoring foundry processes (core making, moulding, melting, pouring, finishing) to identify and address Quality issues

Requirements:

  • Previous leadership experience in a Foundry/Castings environment
  • Knowledge of production processes & foundry capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Embed improvement into process activities
  • Experienced in driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality
