I'm currently supporting a leading engineering and construction contractor delivering a landmark project in London and am looking to speak with experienced Electrical Engineers who enjoy working in a fast-paced project environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected project team delivering a complex and technically challenging scheme. You'll work closely with construction, design, BIM and commissioning teams to ensure successful project delivery from procurement through to completion.

The Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the technical and delivery aspects of a major project, ensuring engineering solutions are developed, coordinated and implemented effectively. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting project delivery teams throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Reviewing electrical designs and identifying technical or scope-related issues
  • Managing technical submittals, RFIs and equipment schedules
  • Coordinating with design, BIM and construction teams
  • Supporting procurement and supplier engagement activities
  • Participating in design reviews and constructability workshops
  • Assisting with commissioning and project handover activities
  • Providing technical support to site teams as required
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting technical risks and issues

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar Electrical Engineer position
  • Experience working on large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, mission critical or energy projects
  • Strong understanding of MV/LV electrical systems
  • Experience managing technical submittals, RFIs and engineering documentation
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with BIM, Revit or similar platforms would be advantageous
