We’re looking for a senior, SC‑cleared Sales Engineer with deep experience supporting UK public sector networked environments. This is a client‑facing presales role, working on complex, secure programmes across central government and closely related bodies. You’ll be involved end‑to‑end, from early discovery and solution shaping through to delivery support, acting as a trusted technical and commercial advisor to senior stakeholders.
What matters most:
- Current SC clearance (essential)
- Extensive UK public sector experience (central government, MoD, agencies, defence primes or major SIs)
- Strong background in enterprise networking and network‑centric solutions
- Excellent communicator, able to explain network and security concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
- Proven end‑to‑end project experience, not just front‑end presales or back‑end design and delivery
- Comfortable spending 2–3 days per week on client site
- The majority of your clients will be in London or the Midlands
The role:
- Lead technical discovery around secure networked environments (LAN/WAN, network performance, resilience, visibility)
- Shape and articulate solutions spanning enterprise networking, network assurance and security
- Translate complex network requirements into clear, credible outcomes
- Support the full project lifecycle alongside sales, delivery and partner teams
- Build long‑term trust with public sector customers through judgement, clarity and follow‑through
Package:
- £90,000 – £120,000 base salary
- Bonus £7,000 car allowance
- Comprehensive benefits package
If you’re an SC‑cleared network‑centric professional, who is credible with government stakeholders and wants to work on nationally significant programmes, this role is worth exploring.
