Evolve-IT are working with a growing engineering and technical consultancy who support organisations across the built environment, infrastructure and property sectors. Their projects range from refurbishment and upgrade works to wider asset improvement programmes, with a strong focus on delivering practical, buildable solutions across complex property portfolios.

The team are currently looking to add a Senior Architectural Technician, who will support a steady pipeline of minor works, refurbishment and fit-out projects across the UK. If you enjoy working across multiple projects at once, collaborating closely with technical teams and stakeholders, and taking a hands-on approach to problem solving and design coordination, it would be great to chat through any questions or queries along with your expertise and what you are looking for in your next move!

The Role:

  • You will be involved in the development and coordination of architectural solutions across a variety of refurbishment and upgrade projects, supporting delivery from feasibility and concept stages through to technical design.
  • Producing architectural drawings, layouts and technical design packages.
  • Supporting refurbishment, fit-out and minor works projects within existing buildings.
  • Working closely with engineers, surveyors and project delivery teams.
  • Ensuring designs align with current regulations and planning requirements.
  • Participating in design reviews, site assessments and stakeholder meetings.
  • Supporting planning submissions and technical documentation.
  • Managing competing project deadlines across multiple live projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working as a Senior Architectural Technician, Architectural Technologist or Architect.
  • Strong technical design and detailing capability.
  • Previous experience delivering refurbishment or upgrade projects within occupied/existing buildings.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit or similar design software.
  • Good understanding of UK building regulations and planning processes.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced project environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience within regulated sectors, infrastructure environments or large property portfolios would be beneficial, but isn't essential.
