We Are in Search Of
A Product Manager to own the next generation of multi-sensor detection products as they evolve. Reporting to the VP of Product Management & Marketing, you will drive products from concept to launch, blending hands-on hardware expertise with video software integration, radar/sensor fusion, and edge AI analytics.
What Youll Do
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership: Define vision, strategy and roadmap for your product(s); own positioning against competing radar-camera and AI camera solutions.
- Hardware Excellence: Specify requirements for sensors, optics, radar modules, SoCs and thermal/EMC constraints; balance performance, cost and manufacturability.
- Sensor Fusion & Edge AI: Guide integration of radar detection, encoded video pipelines, on-device AI classification, and fusion logic to maximize detection while minimizing nuisance alarms.
- Lifecycle Management: Lead market research, requirements, competitive teardown, business case, and launch at key trade shows (GSX, ISC West).
- Prioritization: Write detailed PRDs, user stories and validation plans; manage priorities and trade-offs with R&D.
- Customer Validation: Run field trials with integrators and end-users at critical infrastructure sites; gather feedback and iterate hardware/firmware revisions.
- Sales Enablement: Deliver datasheets, launch decks, battle cards and demo kits to arm Sales, Marketing, and distribution partners.
- Performance Monitoring: Track yield, MTBF, in-field returns, detection performance (PoD/NAR), and feature usage; feed insights into continuous improvement.
What You Bring
Mandatory:
- 5+ years product management of CCTV/video-surveillance or physical security devices, especially radar-camera hybrids, perimeter sensors, or multi-technology detection systems.
- Proven end-to-end ownership of at least one camera, NVR, encoder, radar, or similar hardware product through full lifecycle.
- Experience in perimeter intrusion detection, outdoor security, or critical infrastructure protection.
- Experience working with integrators, distributors, and indirect sales channels.
Technical Knowledge:
- Deep knowledge of imaging sensors, video pipelines, RTSP/ONVIF.
- Understanding of radar detection principles, coverage patterns, and RF interference considerations.
- Exposure to edge AI frameworks and hardware accelerators.
- Strong understanding of BOM cost control, DFM, compliance (FCC/CE, international RF spectrum regulations), and supply-chain realities.
Skills & Competencies:
- PM skills: customer discovery, requirements, prioritization, prototyping, launch.
- Clear, concise communicator able to bridge hardware, firmware, software and commercial teams.
- Comfortable presenting at trade shows and conducting customer-facing validation interviews.
Education & Location:
- Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or similar; MBA a plus.
- Based in the UK (London preferably) or Germany (Frankfurt or Munich preferably).
Nice to Have:
- Experience with product launches at major security trade shows (ISC West, GSX).
- Background in thermal imaging, LiDAR, or multi-spectral detection.
- Familiarity with VMS integration (Milestone, Genetec) and physical security ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Node-RED.
