You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications; full training and support will be provided to help you feel confident in your new role. What matters most is a positive, can-do attitude, a naturally caring nature, and a commitment to excellence.
You’ll be working alongside Laundry Assistants and Care Assistants. For example, if a Care Assistant sees food on the floor, they will clean it up rather than ignore it, because it’s part of the team’s shared duties.
Yes, you’ll chat, laugh, assist with wash-up, and fold clothes together with residents, forging friendships with both team members and those who live in the home.
From your first day, you’ll be supported to learn, develop and build confidence in what you do. When our team members grow, the quality of care we provide improves.
Many team members take on new responsibilities within their first year. In 2023, one in five achieved promotion across the Evolve Care Group’s workforce, and our goal for 2026 is to maintain this level of progression by developing new skills, taking on greater responsibility, and growing in confidence every day.
Our interview process begins with a phone discussion of the basics, followed by an online interview. We encourage you to visit the home afterwards to meet the team and residents (who we call family members) before deciding whether Gibraltar Nursing Home is the right place for you.
