Location: Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 9:00am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 9:00am – 2:30pm

Evolution Safety Solutions Ltd is a growing Fire Safety, Health & Safety and Environmental Consultancy and Training Provider operating throughout the United Kingdom. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Safety Trainer & Assessor to join our team at our Training Academy in Merthyr Tydfil. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong technical fire safety background who enjoys developing others and wishes to progress into higher-level fire safety training, assessment and consultancy.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering and assessing fire safety and health & safety qualifications and supporting the continued development of our fire training portfolio. Initially, the role will involve delivery and assessment of:

  • Level 3 Fire Door Inspection
  • Level 3 Fire Stopping Inspection
  • Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment
  • Fire Safety Awareness
  • Fire Marshal Training
  • Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

As the business grows, we will support the successful candidate in developing towards:

  • Level 5 Fire Safety qualifications
  • Level 6 Fire Safety qualifications
  • Fire consultancy services
  • Internal Quality Assurance activities

What We're Looking For

  • Fire Risk Assessment
  • Passive Fire Protection
  • Fire Doors
  • Fire Stopping and Compartmentation
  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Fire Engineering Support
  • Fire Compliance
  • Fire Protection Systems
  • Fire Safety Consultancy
  • Fire Service Fire Safety Departments

Candidates should ideally possess:

  • A recognised assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering training or presentations
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Clear DBS

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

  • IQA qualification
  • Teaching qualification
  • Fire Risk Assessment qualifications
  • Fire Door Inspection qualifications
  • Previous experience with awarding bodies
