Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Business Development team.

This is a high-activity outbound sales role focused on generating new business opportunities through proactive cold calling.

You'll engage with businesses, identify commercial insurance renewal dates, build a high-quality sales pipeline, and secure qualified appointments for our Business Development Managers, Account Executives, and Directors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct a high volume of outbound cold calls to prospective business clients.
  • Identify and engage with key decision-makers within target organisations.
  • Gather and accurately record commercial insurance renewal dates.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using our CRM system.
  • Qualify opportunities against agreed criteria.
  • Book high-quality appointments for our Business Development Managers, Account Executives, and Directors.
  • Follow up consistently to nurture prospects and maximise conversion opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, call notes, and activity tracking.
  • Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity, pipeline, and appointment targets.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 12 months' proven experience in outbound cold calling and business development.
  • Demonstrable success in building and managing sales pipelines.
  • Experience booking qualified appointments for external sales teams or Business Development Managers.
  • Excellent telephone communication, rapport-building, and objection-handling skills.
  • Confidence working to KPIs and activity-based targets.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage prospects and report on sales activity.
  • A professional, confident, and proactive communication style.
  • Previous experience within commercial insurance, financial services, B2B sales, lead generation, or appointment setting.
  • An understanding of commercial insurance renewals and the insurance sales process.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced outbound prospecting environment.
  • Resilient, determined, and self-motivated.
