Power Tools are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Technical Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our Customer Service Operation by providing comprehensive technical support to customers and colleagues. This position requires proficiency in various software applications and strong clerical skills to manage daily tasks effectively. You will be responsible for offering resolutions to complex and varied customer and colleague enquiries about our full product range.

About you:

  • You have an excellent phone manner and come from a fast-paced customer service background.
  • You are versatile and can adapt your approach across multiple platforms including social media, email and phones.
  • You have a keen eye for improvement and positively contribute to business forums and promote continuous improvement.
  • You can identify customers' needs and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • You seize opportunities to generate profit for the business.
  • You have an interest and working understanding of power tools and how they operate, being able to troubleshoot issues when tools are not working as they should.
  • You have a curiosity for developing technical understanding and helping others troubleshoot issues.
  • You’re good at translating technical knowledge to simple language for people to understand to solve issues.
  • You can work independently, managing priorities and supporting colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • You are comfortable using IT systems and inputting information. SAP and Salesforce experience preferred.
  • You get involved in all areas of a business and show a hands-on, can-do approach always.
  • You actively build relationships with the team, internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have a positive attitude to make sure our customers have a great experience.
  • You will support learning and development within key development projects, local site activities and learning events.
  • You will support the development of training materials to ensure colleagues are given extensive knowledge of our products.

Abilities, Experience & Skills:

Essential:

  • 2-3 years previous experience in a Technical Advisor role.
  • Strong customer service and sales skills.
  • Literacy in computer-based applications such as Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to organize and prioritize.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot the tools.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining a high standard of work quality.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and management.

Preferable:

  • Experience and knowledge of using power tools and an understanding of the company's offering including products and services.
  • Experience in SAP Business One (usage and reporting) and with EDI Systems.
  • Experience using Salesforce Service Cloud.
  • Knowledge of other languages would be advantageous.
  • Experience in delivering training sessions to colleagues.
