The Role: We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with a proven background in full stack software development, using the Microsoft stack. Reporting to the Head of Engineering and managing a team of highly motivated engineers, you will be heavily involved in the technical integrity and architecture. You’ll work alongside internal teams to understand and interpret requirements effectively to build high quality, highly resilient and performant software solutions. You’ll work with new cutting‑edge technology, maintaining your competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Team leading a team of engineers.
- Excellent understanding of architecture, languages, and IDEs to fulfil your duties.
- High quality technical and consultancy level reports to be consumed by technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Identify the right approach and tooling to drive innovation and improvement of our strategical goals.
- Ensure this is utilised and adopted as a framework within the business.
- Develop and deliver architectural blueprints and technical best practices underpinning core strategy set by the business.
- Ensure the software meets architectural best practices and the needs of end users and achieves business goals.
- Stay on top of bleeding edge technology and design principles and evaluate the merits of such and how they can be applied to the business.
- Work closely with cross functional teams and management.
- Provide technical advice to the rest of the team.
- Explain technical concepts and the underlying principles to solutions during customer engagements.
- Prioritise and effectively manage your time effectively.
Qualifications (minimum)
- Previous experience leading a software engineering team.
- 5 years’ experience as a software engineer.

- Technical architecture and design experience.
- Excellent understanding of full stack development.
- Languages (C#, .NET, SQL, Azure, ASP.NET MVC).
- Unit Testing.
- Experienced working in an agile environment.
- Experience with mission‑critical 24*7 systems.
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provides estimates and meets production deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to assist in ascertaining the right technical solution.
