The role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the major motor and finance brands in the industry where you will play a leading part in delivering high-quality support for our business-critical applications, engaging directly with customers and stakeholders, and ensuring smooth roll out of services into the support function. We are looking for someone who is comfortable in representing the Application Support team on internal & external stakeholder calls, managing expectations and delivering excellent service to our engaged customer base. Responsibilities in a nutshell:

  • Provide 2nd line support for business-critical applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Lead the transition of new or updated applications into the support function, ensuring documentation, monitoring, and support readiness are in place.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to provide clear communication, updates, and support.

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

  • Proven experience in a 2nd line application support or similar technical support role.
  • Ability to manage/guide Application Support's involvement in the software release phases from “go-live”, through early life and beyond.
  • Experience supporting complex applications and understanding of software lifecycle and environments.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure – including experience supporting applications hosted in cloud environments.
  • Solid understanding of and experience working with APIs including basic testing and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to run basic queries for troubleshooting in SQL.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks and hands-on experience with ITSM tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
