Role Purpose
The Junior PM / PMO will support the Technology Separation Lead in the delivery of a complex carve‑out / separation programme from a parent organisation. The role focuses on PMO discipline, execution support, workstream coordination, and governance, ensuring the technology separation remains on plan, risks are actively managed, and dependencies are visible across all IT domains. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with early carve‑out, transformation, or major IT programme experience who wants exposure to PE‑backed execution environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme & PMO Support
- Support day‑to‑day delivery of the technology separation plan under the direction of the Technology Separation Lead
- Maintain the integrated technology separation plan, milestones, and critical path
- Track progress across multiple IT workstreams (e.g. Applications, Infrastructure, Data, Security, TSA exit)
- Prepare accurate weekly status reports, RAID logs, dependency trackers, and actions logs
- Own PMO cadence: weekly workstream updates, steering packs, and exec readouts
- Ensure programme governance requirements are followed (stage gates, approvals, documentation)
- Collate materials for SteerCo, Separation Committee, and PE sponsor updates
- Highlight slippage, risks, and emerging issues early with clear recommendations
- Act as coordination point between IT workstream leads, separation advisors, and the parent company
- Support management of TSAs: milestones, exit timing, and readiness tracking
- Drive follow‑ups, unblock actions, and ensure accountability across teams
- Support cross‑functional alignment with Finance, Legal, HR, and Ops as required
Required Experience
- Essential
- 2–5 years experience in Project Management, PMO, or Delivery Support roles
- Exposure to technology transformation, ERP, infrastructure, or digital programmes
- Experience working in complex, fast‑paced programmes with multiple stakeholders
- Strong grasp of PM disciplines: planning, RAID, reporting, governance
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Exposure to carve‑outs, separations, TSA exits, or M&A integrations
- Experience in PE‑backed or sponsor‑led environments
- Prior work alongside external advisors (Big 4, IT separation specialists)
- Familiarity with Agile / hybrid delivery models
