EVOCS is looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer with Power BI + Fabric expertise to support the delivery of scalable data solutions for enterprise clients. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on building modern Azure-based data pipelines and developing well-structured, high-impact dashboards in Power BI. The ideal candidate has deep experience across the Microsoft data stack and is comfortable working across ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers. Experience working with data from platforms like Procore is a plus.
You’ll also play a key role in anchoring our delivery presence in the EMEA region and owning implementations end-to-end in collaboration with senior technical stakeholders.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric - particularly OneLake, semantic modeling, and Power BI integration workflows is required.
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Databricks.
- Develop Power BI dashboards with strong attention to data modeling, DAX, and Power Query (M).
- Contribute to the design of semantic models, data marts, and data warehouse structures.
- Integrate data from various sources including SQL databases, APIs, and cloud storage (e.g., Azure Data Lake, OneLake).
- Implement and maintain standards around data quality, security, and governance.
- Support CI/CD processes for data workflows using Git, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Assist in real-time and event-driven data processing using tools such as Event Hubs, Kafka, or equivalents.
- Drive usage of Microsoft Fabric features within modern data architectures, especially OneLake, Lakehouse, and Direct Lake Power BI datasets.
5+ years of experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure:
- Practical experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL.
- Advanced Power BI development skills, including DAX, Power Query, and visual/report design.
- Strong SQL proficiency, including performance optimization and query tuning.
- Extensive, hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric – including Lakehouse architecture, OneLake storage design, semantic modeling, and Power BI integration best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and OneLake.
- Experience with Python or Scala for data processing is preferred.
- Exposure to CI/CD workflows and DevOps practices in a data engineering context.
- Comfortable working in agile, collaborative environments with distributed teams.
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-300, DP-203, or DP-500 are preferred.
