Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world. We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation. Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation. As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.
As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team. Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will assist the Management Accountant and support the wider Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone keen to progress in a finance role.
Key responsibilities:
- Post bank transactions and reconcile all company bank accounts, providing daily cash reports to the Director of Finance and Financial Controller
- Credit control and raising of sales ledger invoices
- Assisting the Management Accountant with balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing journals at month end, including prepayments and accruals
- Maintaining fixed asset master data and posting depreciation journals
- Assisting with analytical review and investigating variances
- Providing support to the annual audit process
- Timesheet analysis and posting of allocated time to projects and opex
- Posting of temp labour allocations to projects and opex
- Supporting with grant claim analysis
Skills and experience required:
- Previous proven experience in a similar role within Finance
- Qualification in, studying towards, or desire to begin studying a relevant accounting/finance qualification
- Strong attention to detail
- Good IT skills, in particular Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work proactively under own initiative
- Ability to work well under pressure
- A flexible approach to work
