We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support our Quality team. In this role, you will act as a quality focal point for project teams to ensure compliance to business processes and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the development and implementation of business processes and systems in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements.
- Acting as the Quality focal on development projects.
- Driving APQP activities.
- Drive for FAIR and PPAP completion.
- Acting as a business management system auditor.
- Taking part in customer/supplier visits and audits as required.
- Working with process owners to drive closure of non-conformances.
- Leading internal and external investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions.
- Involvement in change management and design for assembly/manufacture.
- Support in the development and deployment of quality objectives.
- Previous proven experience within a Quality Engineering role, ideally within aerospace.
- Familiar with CAA regulations Part21G and Part21J.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and Process Auditing, AS9100 Lead audit preferable.
- Experience with Quality Improvement Programmes, Pareto, PFMEA, 5S, 6‑Sigma or similar continuous improvement tools.
- Experience with internal and external audits.
- Experienced in the use of APQP tools and techniques; familiarity with AS9145 preferred.
- Experienced in the use of statistical analysis, process capability and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6‑Sigma etc.) and techniques.
- A team player with the ability to work under own initiative.
- Ability to influence others.
- A positive 'can-do' attitude.
- A flexible approach to work.
- Ability to work at pace in a multi‑project environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driver's license.
