What you'll do
As a member of our 12-month Engineering Analysis Industrial Placement Programme, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on live customer projects from day one. You'll have the opportunity to:
- Support structural, modal and thermal analyses of electric motor components and assemblies
- Prepare CAD geometry for finite element analysis and assess results against engineering requirements
- Help design tests, fixtures and samples used to validate engineering analyses
- Contribute to concepts that improve product performance, durability and manufacturability
- Support material selection, root cause analysis and the production of technical reports and recommendations
- Receive mentoring and support throughout the programme
You could be involved in projects across:
- Finite Element Analysis
- Structural Analysis
- Modal & Vibration Analysis
- Thermal Analysis
- Geometry Preparation & Meshing
- Physical Test Correlation & Validation
- Root Cause Analysis
What we're looking for
We're looking for motivated students who:
- Are studying Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Science or a related discipline
- Need to complete an industrial placement year as part of their course
- Have a good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and an interest in simulation and analysis
- Have some exposure to finite element analysis through university or practical projects
- Are creative, analytical, collaborative and eager to learn
