We are looking for Mechanical Design Engineer Contractors to design and deliver complex designs for an aerospace project. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on solving complex challenges and producing high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive designs, drawings, and supporting documentation from high-level schemes to release, under guidance from Senior or Lead Engineers.
  • Deliver well-resolved designs and accurate drawings on designs within the package of work.
  • Document key design decisions in line with the System Development Plan.
  • Meet tight timescales while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to assemble and validate tooling.
  • Support build activities to meet or exceed delivery timelines.
  • Ensure all outputs meet relevant aerospace standards and certification requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong background in mechanical design within aerospace or high-integrity engineering environments.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and drawing standards.
  • Experience supporting production builds and tooling development.
