Reporting to our Financial Controller, you will assist the Management Accountant and support the wider Finance Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone keen to progress in a finance role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post bank transactions and reconcile all company bank accounts, providing daily cash reports to the Director of Finance and Financial Controller.
  • Credit control and raise sales ledger invoices.
  • Assist the Management Accountant with balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare journals at month end, including prepayments and accruals.
  • Maintain fixed asset master data and post depreciation journals.
  • Assist with analytical review and investigate variances.
  • Provide support to the annual audit process.
  • Analyze timesheets and post allocated time to projects and operating expenses.
  • Post temporary labour allocations to projects and operating expenses.
  • Support grant claim analysis.

Qualifications

  • Previous proven experience in a similar role within Finance.
  • Qualification in, studying towards, or desire to begin studying a relevant accounting/finance qualification.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work proactively under own initiative.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • A flexible approach to work.
