Job Description

Do you love creating sporting content? Sport never stands still, and neither do the conversations around it. We’re looking for a Social Media Content Executive who can spot the moments that matter, create content that captures attention, and help William Hill remain part of the sporting conversations fans genuinely care about.

Based in our state-of-the-art Leeds content hub, you'll join a passionate team creating video, social and live content across some of the biggest sporting events in the calendar. This is a varied, hands‑on role where you'll generate ideas, film and edit content, work alongside sporting ambassadors, engage with online communities and react quickly when the next big story breaks. If you're passionate about football, obsessed with social media trends, and thrive in a fast‑paced creative environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Due to regulatory and ASA requirements, this role has a minimum age limit of 25 years and evidence of date of birth will be required as part of the initial recruitment process. Additional ASA restrictions will also require us to run additional checks and processes as part of the recruitment journey.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Creating engaging, platform‑specific content ideas that resonate with sports audiences across multiple social channels.
  • Filming, self‑shooting and editing high‑quality short‑form video content for platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X and Facebook.
  • Presenting content on camera and supporting content production from our Leeds studios and on‑location shoots.
  • Writing compelling scripts, captions and social copy that drive engagement and encourage conversation.
  • Working with sporting ambassadors and talent to develop content ideas, provide creative direction and capture authentic, entertaining content.
  • Managing social communities through timely, relevant and brand‑appropriate interaction, helping build meaningful audience engagement.
  • Monitoring sporting news, trends and cultural moments, identifying opportunities to create reactive content at pace.
  • Reviewing content performance and audience insights to continuously optimise future content and channel growth.

Who we are looking for

  • Excellent football knowledge, a broad understanding of the wider sporting landscape and a genuine passion for social media and digital content.
  • Proven experience creating video content, including filming and editing, with a willingness to get involved in on‑camera content where it suits your skills and comfort level.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to work effectively with ambassadors, presenters and a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent scriptwriting and copywriting skills, with a keen eye for detail and sound editorial judgement.

What we offer

  • Family Support: Industry‑leading maternity and paternity leave and paid time off if you have caring responsibilities.
  • Perks and discounts: Discounts at a range of high‑street retailers
  • Financial: Competitive salary, pension, and bonus schemes.
  • Health & wellbeing: Tools and services to help support your well‑being, including support with mental health and financial education. You will also have access to gym discounts and our cycle to work scheme.
  • Hybrid working: Our employees can work from home up to 80% of the time with 20% of office time built in to ensure we get some face‑to‑face collaborative team time - and the chance for a coffee and a catch‑up!
  • Healthcare: We prioritise your health and well‑being, offering comprehensive healthcare benefits (or a cash alternative).
  • Pension package, income protection and life assurance: Safeguarding your financial future and offering peace of mind.
