Regional Operations Manager – North West England & North Wales
The Regional Operations Manager is accountable for performance, culture, and standards across approximately 125 shops, delivered through a team of Area Operations Managers.
As a senior field leader, the ROM sets the pace, establishes a high challenge, high performance culture, and ensures the region is delivering commercial growth, operational excellence, and industry‑leading compliance.
- What you will be doing
- Support delivery of the retail strategy across the region, turning strategic pillars into clear, measurable plans for Area Managers and shop teams.
- Drive commercial, operational, and compliance performance, owning regional P&L and all key KPIs.
- Build a high performance, continuous improvement culture, embedding transformation, digital adoption, and industry leading shop standards.
- Use data and regional insights to make timely decisions, maximise results, address underperformance, and ensure regulatory and safer gambling compliance.
- Support, coach, and inspire Area Operations Managers, strengthening talent pipelines, driving colleague engagement, and championing recognition and inclusion.
- Act as the senior link between the Retail Exec Team and the shop network, influencing cross functional teams and ensuring consistent execution of business priorities.
Who we are looking for
- A proven large scale leadership, ideally across a large‑scale retail footprint, with the ability to inspire, influence, and drive performance through multiple layers of management.
- Good commercial leadership, with multimillion pound P&L ownership and a proven record of delivering and exceeding key performance targets while driving sustainable growth.
- Strategic transformation experience, with the ability to turn vision into reality, lead major change programmes and embed high performance ways of working regionwide.
- A current Personal Management Licence, issued by the UK Gambling Commission, or be willing and eligible to obtain one upon appointment.
- An exceptional leadership of leaders, building capability, shaping culture, and making decisive, regionwide calls that drive impact across 100+ shops.
