We are partnered with a global Fintech SaaS business who are looking to hire their first Principal Data Engineer. The company's SaaS platform is already used by millions, with millions of rows of data being shared daily. They are now looking to hire their first Principal Data Engineer to build out the team from the ground up. This hire will work directly with the CTO to shape the company’s data strategy, making key decisions about approaches, tooling and architecture. The first 3-6 months will be very hands-on, but you’ll soon scale and lead a team to implement the future of data at the company.
About you:
- Extensive experience working in Data Engineering, preferably at Lead/Principal level
- Experience in developing and maintaining cloud-based data warehouse
- Strong background working with Postgres and relational databases
- Experience working with cloud-based platforms (AWS or GCP) and IaC
- Experience with Beam or Dataflow preferred
