We are seeking a reliable and professional Jiffy Van Driver specialising in fresh food deliveries. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting perishable goods efficiently and safely to various destinations around Swindon. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with prepping & packing the food to go out. The position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic leading Bakehouse, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Hours: Monday - Friday 06:00-13:00 (occasional weekend work at events)
Pay rate: £13.00 - £14.20ph
Duties- Safely operate company vans for the delivery of fresh food products to retail outlets, restaurants, and other clients.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet scheduled deadlines and optimise fuel consumption.
- Liaise with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring high levels of customer service and sales.
- Assist in prepping & packing the food at the beginning of each shift.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections prior to each shift, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as stock organisation or inventory checks when required.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
- Valid driver’s licence suitable for operating vans.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and team members professionally.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
- Physical fitness to manage loading/unloading duties.
- Must be over 30 for insurance purposes.
