This global manufacturer of engineered parts is seeking a talented Finance Analyst to join the team in Hertford on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday, offering a salary of £31,000 - £34,000 and a range of highly attractive employee benefits.
As a Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the wider business, working closely with the finance lead, best suited to a candidate who is looking to gain more day-to-day exposure to month-end management accounting and corporate reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Inventory Management: WIP analysis, inventory provision calculations and standard analysis of labour and production overheads
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports and journals to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Budgeting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Month End: Completion of management presentation pack and site operation financials, including sales margins, absorption, and inventory reconciliation
- Data Management: Maintain accurate financial records and databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support various projects.
Qualifications:
- AAT Level 4 (desirable) ACCA studier to applied skills level
- Proven experience as a Finance Analyst or Assistant Management Accountant
- Familiarity with IFRS Accounting Standards (UK, USA Gaap)
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel, including ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
