Our client seeks an experienced electrical maintenance engineer to work a permanent double-day shift. Monday to Friday 1 week 5.30am – 1.30pm, week 2 1.30pm – 21.30pm, offered with a salary up to £44500, excellent holidays and pension schemes and plenty of career progression, training and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working as part of a wider maintenance team you will report to the Site Engineering Manager, with responsibility for assessing, repairing, and maintaining all factory, automated equipment and machinery.
- Responsible for performing routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
- Reduce engineering failures and breakdowns by performing pre and planned maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults and issues, including fault finding on 3-phase control circuits, Siemens PLCs.
- To undertake new engineering projects whilst working alongside management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex issues and offer training on any ‘weak spots’.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level Electrical Engineering, apprenticeship trained or similar within a related field.
- Proven electrical fault finding and engineering solution-based maintenance.
- Hands-on experience working with mechanical and engineered parts used in a fast-moving, automated sector.
- Strong knowledge of electrical parts, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
