Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Care Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management and operations of a domiciliary care service in Swindon. This role is focused on delivering safe, effective, and high-quality person-centred care across Learning Disabilities and Home Care services. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, supervising staff, managing care packages, and maintaining excellent standards of care and support for service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily running of the domiciliary care branch and care services
- Support, supervise, and guide care staff and care coordinators
- Ensure all care is delivered in line with CQC standards, company policies, and best practice guidelines
- Conduct client assessments, care plan reviews, risk assessments, and spot checks
- Manage staff rotas, care schedules, and overall service delivery
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, local authorities, and healthcare professionals
- Monitor quality standards and implement improvements where required
- Support recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing staff development
- Assist with safeguarding concerns, incident reporting, complaints, and investigations
- Promote dignity, independence, choice, and person-centred care at all times
- Support the continued growth and development of the service
- Some travel is included with the role within the Wiltshire area.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisor or managerial role is essential
- Experience within domiciliary care, Learning Disabilities, and Home Care services
- Good understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication is essential
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A full UK driving licence is essential
