We’re looking for an experienced Email Marketing Strategist / Account Manager to join our agency and take ownership of client accounts. This role sits at the heart of the business. You’ll be the main point of contact for clients, the person shaping strategy and someone who’s genuinely involved in the execution, not just handing things off. You’ll work closely with the Director, keeping her in the loop on performance and results, while confidently running your own accounts day to day. If you love balancing big‑picture thinking with detailed, hands‑on work (and you care deeply about quality) this role will suit you well.
What you’ll be doing
This is a strategic role, but it’s not hands‑off. You’ll be thinking, writing, reviewing, scheduling, and communicating, often all in the same day.
- On the strategy side, you’ll:
- Carry out deep client research, including competitors, brand positioning, tone of voice, and existing email performance
- Build and maintain clear, thoughtful email campaign strategies for each account
- Manage flow strategy and oversee copy development across all core flows
- Apply direct response principles consistently across campaigns and flows
- Generate strong, creative ideas that actually make sense for each brand and audience
- Write copy for roughly half of the monthly email campaigns
- Review, proof, and improve copy written by other team members
- Proof designs to make sure they work properly, follow email best practices and match the brief
- Carry out quality control at every stage: catching spelling mistakes, layout issues, broken logic, or anything that doesn’t align with the brief/overall vision
- Manually schedule email campaigns and double‑check everything before send
- Be the main point of contact for your clients
- Lead client calls and confidently talk through strategy, results and next steps
- Send regular updates and keep communication clear and proactive
- Annotate and sense‑check monthly client reports
- Keep Directors updated on performance, wins, risks and opportunities across your accounts
- Collaborate closely with the wider team to keep work aligned and moving smoothly
You’ll also be expected to keep learning as email evolves quickly, and we want someone who’s curious, switched on and keen to sharpen their strategic thinking over time.
What we’re looking for:
- You have at least 2 years’ experience in e‑commerce email marketing (preferably in the fashion and wellness niches)
- You can confidently use Klaviyo, Shopify and other DTC platforms
- You’ve successfully managed multiple client accounts at once
- You’re comfortable writing copy and reviewing other people’s work
- You have great attention to detail
- You can think strategically but aren’t afraid to get into the weeds when needed
- You communicate clearly, calmly, and professionally with clients
- You’re confident in owning your accounts while still collaborating closely with a director
- You can use AI effectively, but aren’t overreliant on it for strategy and copy
The details
- Full‑time role with flexible working hours
- Fully remote (UK‑based)
- Starting salary: £36-40k per year based on experience
If this sounds like you, we’d love to see your CV. We’ll be reviewing applications on a rolling basis.
