Evoke Care is looking for an experienced and motivated Children's Home Deputy Manager to join our team in Croydon.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or Deputy Manager who is ready to take on greater responsibility and play an important role in the management and development of a children's residential home.
You will work closely with the Registered Manager and senior leadership team to ensure the home provides a safe, nurturing and high-quality environment where children and young people can thrive.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager with the effective day-to-day running of the home, while providing strong leadership and guidance to the residential care team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day management and operation of the children's home.
- Leading, supervising, mentoring and supporting the residential care team.
- Supporting staff with their development, performance and practice.
- Helping to maintain high standards of care and safeguarding.
- Supporting the implementation and review of care plans and risk assessments.
- Ensuring records and documentation are maintained to a high standard.
- Working collaboratively with social workers, education providers, health professionals and other agencies.
- Supporting the home to meet Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
- Assisting with audits, inspections and compliance requirements.
- Supporting the Registered Manager and taking responsibility for the home in their absence.
What We're Looking For
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience working in an Ofsted-registered children's residential home.
- Experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy Manager or similar.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent. xgikmsk
