Were partnering with a prominent defence client to find an SC cleared Lead Safety Engineer to support critical land domain projects.
If youre a Chartered Engineer with proven experience in Safety Case development, Hazard Log management and tailored application of DEF STAN 00-056, this could be an excellent opportunity for you to make a genuine impact.
The role is based in Bristol, offering a flexible hybrid working arrangement - 2 to 3 days onsite per week with optional remote working.
Youll be required to visit Bristol for meetings and occasionally travel to Coventry to engage with the supplier, typically on a fortnightly basis.
The contract is initially until 30 September 2026, with potential to extend.
Key Responsibilities Review and scrutinise the SRO/Accountable Person's Safety Strategy and Project Requirements, including Safety and Project Management Plans.
Evaluate base vehicle configurations and existing Safety Case Reports, Hazard Logs, and Lifecycle Assessments (LCA).
Coordinate Hazard Log Working Groups (HLWG) to confirm equipment positions within the Safety Safety Reserve (SSR) and SRO/AP framework.
Review safety cases for integrated equipment, lead design reviews, and participate in project kick-offs with prime contractors.
