Evodia Limited is partnering with a leading Satellite Communications company in Farnborough to find a Senior Software Technical Lead who is ready to make a significant impact within the defence and aerospace sectors. This is a permanent role that offers the chance to lead high-stakes projects, working on government-approved Data at Rest encryption solutions.
If you have 10+ years of domain experience, a solid background in C++ or C along with embedded systems, RTOS, or firmware, and a desire to shape secure, resilient software architectures, this could be the opportunity for you.
What’s involved?
- Driving engineering excellence: You will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring implementation of robust governance and quality standards.
- Technical leadership and hands-on delivery: Allocating around 80% of your time to project execution, you’ll lead detailed architecture design, implementation, and verification activities, supporting complex, secure systems.
- Team development: Mentoring, coaching, and supporting engineers' growth — fostering a collaborative culture and skills development across multidisciplinary teams.
- Supporting secure, high-integrity software development: With an emphasis on high-assurance standards, your expertise will help maintain system robustness and security compliance.
What are we looking for?
- Experience & Education: Over 10 years in software engineering, with a degree in Software Engineering or similar.
- Technical skills: Experience defining processes, toolsets, and implementing engineering governance; proficiency in C/C++ for embedded and real-time systems; familiarity with secure coding standards like RUST is desirable.
- Security clearance: Must be a UK sole national, with the current or the ability to obtain UK SC security clearance.
