Are you an experienced Project or Programme Manager with a strong background in delivering complex ICT, infrastructure, networking, interoperability, or secure information system projects within Defence or government environments? Evodia Limited is working on behalf of a leading client to find a highly capable Project Manager for a pivotal role based in Corsham, Wiltshire, with an immediate start available.

About the Role

This is a contract opportunity until March 2028, offering a daily rate of up to £650 (Inside IR35). The position requires onsite presence four days a week to lead the delivery of the OpNET Federated Mission Networking (FMN) Spiral 6 Data Centric Interoperability (DCI) Pilot. You will be responsible for managing all facets of this critical project, ensuring delivery meets timescales, quality standards, security requirements, and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, mobilisation, execution, monitoring, and project closure activities for the FMN Spiral 6 DCI Pilot.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including solution architects, infrastructure engineers, security specialists, and interoperability experts.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, issues, and change control to keep the project on-track.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders from Defence Digital, NSoIT(D), NATO, coalition partners, and delivery organisations.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, security standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Support project reporting, governance reviews, technical design reviews, and acceptance activities.
  • Document lessons learned and ensure smooth project handover and closure.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' proven experience managing complex ICT/security projects in a high-security environment, ideally within MOD, Defence Digital, NATO, NSoIT(D), or OpNET. You’ll need:

  • Extensive experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
  • A track record leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
  • Good knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, including MS Project, JIRA, or Confluence.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, risks, and stakeholder engagement effectively.
  • A current DV clearance or a current SC clearance, with willingness and eligibility to undergo DV clearance.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical details clearly to a range of audiences.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience delivering secure, accredited solutions within Defence or Government environments.
  • Keen understanding of Federation Mission Networking (FMN) standards, Data Centric Interoperability (DCI), IAM, PKI, and cyber security.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Professional project management certification such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, MSP, PMP, or equivalent.
  • A relevant university degree in Project Management, Engineering, IT, or Computer Science.
