What You’ll Be Doing
- Reporting directly to the Programme Director, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of ambitious projects in the secure communications domain.
- Your leadership will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams, you'll coordinate across various functions, fostering collaboration and clarity.
- Your excellent communication skills will help build strong relationships, both internally and with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and project growth.
- Prepare and present project reports: scheduling, financials, risk assessments.
- Manage stakeholders internally and externally.
- Coordinate cross-departmental working and matrix management.
- Run internal and customer progress meetings.
- Effort estimation, resource allocation, and scheduling.
- Identify and manage RAID logs, change control processes.
- Contribute to whitepapers, bids, and proposals, providing content, scheduling, and cost insights.
What We’re Looking For
Essential criteria:
- 3–5 years of project management experience in a technical or engineering environment.
- Qualified to APMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner (or equivalent).
- UK national with current, or the ability to obtain, DV clearance.
- Sound knowledge of project management methodologies.
Desirable skills:
- Strong relationship-building capability.
- Understanding of MoD projects and secure communications.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Project.
