Are you an experienced Network Engineer with DV clearance looking for a challenging contract opportunity? Evodia Limited is working on behalf of a leading client in the Defence sector to find a skilled professional to support the SERAPHIM platform at Corsham, Wiltshire. This role offers a chance to be part of a vital project, working within a collaborative team to deliver secure, reliable networking solutions.

About the Role

This contract position is based at Corsham with a requirement of 4 days onsite per week. The engagement runs from 1 July 2026 until 31 March 2028, offering a competitive day rate between £550 and £650 (ex VAT). The successful candidate will join the Deployed Command and Control Enablement (DC2E) Network Engineering Service, supporting the design, development, and validation of core networking components for the SERAPHIM Platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, build, and validate network components integral to the SERAPHIM platform.
  • Production and review of technical design artefacts, ensuring documentation aligns with project standards.
  • Support system testing activities and collaborate with Service Management to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings, explaining and justifying proposed solutions clearly and confidently.
  • Refine network configuration designs, focusing on secure, repeatable solutions alongside comprehensive support documentation.
  • Contribute to long-term infrastructure planning to improve system resilience and performance.

What We're Looking For

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Proven network engineering experience at CCNP level or above, with demonstrable ability.
  • Expertise in network monitoring, traffic analysis, hardware/software configuration, and lifecycle management.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and share knowledge within a team.
  • Experience supporting strategic network infrastructure planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency in exploiting ESXi 8.0.3 and vSphere 8.0.3 environments.

Desirable skills include:

  • Cisco Nexus, IOS XE, VXLAN, and Leaf and Spine architectures.
  • Knowledge of DMVPN solutions, Layer 3 multicast, PIM, firewall IPS/IDS, and AAA management platforms such as ISE.
  • Experience with Cisco CUCM, EIGRP protocols, and QoS configurations for VoIP.
  • Understanding of Cybersecurity, CIDA compliance, and complex technical environments.

Qualifications & Security

This role requires a current DV (Developed Vetting) clearance, essential to access the high-security environment. The standard working hours are 8 hours per day, reflecting the client’s working pattern.
