SUMMARY
Engineer to work on novel and complex development and testing programme who also is an experienced Engineering Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Form Technical Requirements and manage the Test, V&V and evaluation process
- SRD
- ITEAP (proportionate to scale of project)
- Establish engineering roadmap for future phases and Engineering Management Plans
- Assure technical data as provided by Supplier(s), provide advice to Ch Eg/ Chief Technical Officer/ Senior Safety Responsible on matters they are accountable
- Integrate and manage project interests with a wide range of stakeholders, such as Air worthiness authorities & Heads of Establishments
- Provide assurance that Supplier tests are safe and IAW with local process, and aviation regulations
- Identify and analyse technical hazards, contribute to the development of safety artefacts as required to enable testing.
EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
- Engineering manager with experience managing development and integration of novel systems
- Experience of complex weapons development and testing programmes
- Familiarity of aviation regulations and experience working with regulators
- Experience with Test, Trails and Experimentation programmes.
- Management of development and integration of novel systems.
DESIRABLE
- Experience of developing innovative and novel delivery approaches.
- Experience of competitive selection of equipment through demonstrations
- Experience managing suppliers through initial and scaled/full-rate production.
