Are you an experienced OME Engineer with a background working within Defence standards and regulations? Evodia Limited is currently working with a reputable Defence organisation based in Bristol, seeking a SC-cleared OME Engineer to join their team on an initial 90-day contract. This opportunity offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement — you’ll be on-site approximately one day per week at MOD Abbeywood, with the rest of the work available remotely. If you have the right expertise, this could be an excellent chance to contribute to a significant Defence project.
Role Overview: You will play a key part in delivering an Air Defence Capability. Your responsibilities will include leading trials planning from a technical and engineering viewpoint, managing engineering documentation, and supporting delivery management and supplier integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support general engineering management and integration activities with customers and suppliers.
- Lead trials planning, ensuring all trial documentation and planning are aligned.
- Produce and oversee compliance for engineering documentation specific to trials and project-wide requirements.
- Engage with assurance authorities, managing engineering conformity in line with Defence policies.
- Collaborate with the trials team to support successful project delivery.
What You'll Need:
Essential:
- Proven experience working with OME, DOSR, and DSA regulations, with a track record of delivering trials for OME.
- Strong experience engaging with assurance authorities and managing engineering compliance.
- Knowledge of DE&S engineering policies.
- Demonstrable ability to lead technical planning and document production for engineering trials.
- Current SC clearance (minimum).
Desirable:
- Experience working on GiK or rapid procurement projects.
- Familiarity with DE&S Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
- Hold a relevant science, technology, engineering or mathematics qualification (RQF Level 4 or above).
- Professional registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng), Chartered Engineer (CEng), Registered Scientist (RSci), or Chartered Scientist (CSci).
