Our client is recruiting for a SC cleared Certification Engineer to join their Certification Management Team which is responsible for all certification activity across the Naval Authority. This is a contract role initially until the end of June 2026 with scope to extend. The role offers a daily rate of up to £570 per day (Inside IR35) and a hybrid working arrangement.
KEY TASKS
- Management and development function into the Naval Authority Development Group
- Management and development function on a weekly basis, updating the PowerBI and any databases that feed them.
- Manage the business changes, engage with stakeholders and report to the Certification Manager about the progress of change.
- Stakeholder Management and development of databases and report for use
- Assist with the management of Cert Strat approvals and delegations.
- Assist with the management of NAIMS administration tasks
- Development, management and distribution of the programme of work and feed into the Naval Authority Publications Group.
- Work with colleagues to assess application of ANEP102 and interrogate SUBSAFE as a safety management tool
- Representation at the SSNALG
EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Good knowledge of UK Defence Safety and Environmental Business Processes.
- Good experience with Safety Management policy and process.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Defence Maritime business area.
- Awareness of the Naval Authority and their role in assurance, with an understanding of the role certification plays.
- High Proficiency with Microsoft products, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Submarine Certification.
- Knowledge of Ship Certification, including the use of Recognised Organisations and Classification Societies.
- Knowledge of Boat Certification, including the use of Recognised Organisations and Classification Societies.
- Knowledge and experience with PowerBI.
