Are you an experienced Engineering Manager with a strong background in Defence programmes and integration? Our client, a leading organisation within the defence sector, is seeking an SC cleared Engineering Manager to join their team in Bristol, with hybrid working options. This is an exciting opportunity to lead cross-project engineering activities within a high-profile military Land Environment programme, ensuring seamless integration and technical excellence.
Location: Hybrid 2 days onsite in Bristol, 2 days in Merthyr Tydfil, and 1 day working from home
Contract: Security Clearance: SC clearance minimum required
Day Rate: Up to £570 (inside IR35)
- Leading cross-project issue resolution to address technical conflicts impacting multiple workstreams
- Providing strategic technical guidance to Project Leads and Chief Engineers
- Overseeing Tiger Team initiatives for rapid resolution of critical engineering issues
- Leading risk management efforts related to system integration and design conflicts
- Supporting project delivery to meet programme requirements, standards, and quality standards
- Maintaining awareness of industry standards and best practices to continually improve engineering outcomes
- Proven experience in providing technical advice and delivering successful engineering solutions within complex programmes
- Experience managing engineering change and configuration (asset management) is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving, issue resolution, and risk management abilities
