The Role
We're looking for a motivated and analytical Operations Assistant Accountant to join our Group Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their career in a commercially focused role, working closely with transport and warehouse operations. You'll be involved in financial reporting, stock integrity, budgeting, and business partnering with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts including variance analysis
- Review financial performance with budget holders
- Produce forecasts and budgets
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations
- Develop and monitor key operational KPIs
- Manage stock reconciliations across multiple ledgers and entities
- Support and lead stock take processes
- Assist in improving financial processes and efficiencies
- Calculate and review working capital provisions
- Support wider month-end accounting activities
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Part-qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA)
- Degree (2:1 or above) in finance, maths, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills and experience handling large datasets
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g. PivotTables, VLOOKUPs)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across all levels
- Highly organised, reliable, and detail-focused
