Evo Personnel are acting as an employment agency, and we are looking to recruit a CNC Milling Machine Programmer for our prestigious manufacturing client in the Blackburn area.

Salary & Package

  • Starting from £34,000 up to £47,151
  • Company Benefits
  • Overtime: Is paid at time and a half other than Sundays or Bank holidays where it is double time.

Day Shift

  • Monday - Thursday: 7am until 3pm
  • Friday: 7am until 1.15pm

Night Shift

  • Monday to Wednesday: 10pm until 6.15am
  • Thursday: 10pm until 6am

Nights or days shift is optional with this company. The pay on nights has an uplift premium.

The Job:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Program CNC machines (online/offline) as required
  • Select appropriate tooling and materials for each job
  • Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Carry out routine maintenance and ensure machines are operating safely
  • Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards

The Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating CNC milling machines
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Experience with CNC programming (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, or similar controls) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Fusion 360 CAD/CAM software
  • Knowledge of different materials and machining techniques
  • Previous experience in a similar manufacturing environment
  • Motivated to support a positive driven team
  • Time served BTEC/ONC or equivalent in engineering
  • Experience performing the role will be considered.

This role is suited for a CNC Milling machine Programmer/Setter who has worked previously in an engineering environment. You will be required to program using Fanuc, understand technical engineering drawings and utilise CNC Milling machines to manufacture components. The right candidate will be hands on, have the experience required, and have the qualifications or experience required & want to progress in a forward thinking company.
