We are currently recruiting an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our client’s growing production team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship and wants stable, ongoing work in a professional environment.

Location: Preston

Salary: £28,080.00 - £39,520.00 DOE

Hours: Full-time / Overtime available

Monday – Thursday 06:30 – 16:30

40 hours per week.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality garments/products
  • Working with a range of fabrics including light and heavy materials
  • Able to operate a Zig Zag and Mauser machines
  • Overlock
  • Sewing leather
  • Carrying out basic quality checks to ensure finished products meet standards
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working area
  • Meeting daily/weekly production targets

  • Confident using industrial sewing machines

This role is suited for a sewing machinist who has worked in a fast-paced sewing environment in the furniture industry previously and wants to earn a bonus on each product they sew. You’ll be required to operate a Zig Zag and Mauser Machine. You’ll need to be able to sew using twin needle, overlock and have experience sewing leather. You’ll need to work to product specifications and perform quality assurance checks on completed products.
