Evo Personnel are acting as an employment agency, and we are looking to recruit a Material Planning Logistics Manager for our prestigious manufacturing & distribution client in the Burnley area.
Salary & Package:
- £45,000.00 - £50,000.00 DOE
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Pension contribution
- Day Shift: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 17:30, Friday 08:00 – 12:30
- 37.5 hours a week with 1 hour lunch break
- The hours can be flexible based on a Monday – Friday 37.5 hour week for the right candidate
Requirements:
- Manage a team of Supervisors and Warehouse Operatives
- Lead, guide and develop the team
- Able to conduct review meetings with members of staff
- Manage team performance
- Manage department KPI’s
- Plan materials required with production
- Ensure the inventory is kept fully stocked
- Manage the procurement process
- Manage the movement of products from manufacturing to despatch
- Work closely with other departments
- Able to support with projects
- Implement 5s and lean manufacturing to drive continuous improvement
- Process documentation and administration
- Ensure the department adheres to Health & Safety standards
- Build a relationship and work closely with the selected recruitment agency
- Manage the recruitment process in the warehouse
- Induct and train new members of staff
- Be hands-on and support with operations
- Experience using SAP and ERP systems
- A strong understanding of IT
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills
- Have previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment
- Lead a team, support development within the team and build rapports with new & existing team members
- Responsible for planning and procurement of materials in production, receiving, storing, & preparing products for shipment
- Involved with operations and have a hands-on approach to ensure deadlines are met
- Implement progressive ways of working to enhance efficiencies
- Manage materials, inventory and the whole logistics process whilst focusing on continuous improvement
- Operate SAP & ERP systems
- Process driven, great people person and have the experience required to support growth in a forward-thinking company
