Are you a commercially minded product development professional with a passion for innovation, supplier partnerships and bringing products to market?
We're seeking an experienced
Own Label Product Development Manager to lead the growth and development of our own label portfolio.
Working closely with the Category Manager and cross-functional teams, you'll own the product development journey from concept through to launch, helping to deliver innovative, commercially successful products that drive sales growth and enhance our market position.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping product strategy, expanding our own label range and influencing the future direction of a growing business.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the end-to-end development of own label products from concept through to launch.
- Help define and implement the proposition and strategy for each own label brand.
- Develop and deliver a product development roadmap focused on increasing range breadth and sales growth.
- Analyse market trends, customer demands and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop brand identity and product positioning.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships, negotiating costs, quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Approve product samples, packaging and production sign-offs.
- Ensure all products meet legal, safety and compliance requirements.
- Monitor product performance and recommend improvements to maximise commercial success.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Procurement, Purchasing and Marketing teams to deliver best-in-class product solutions.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience within Product Development, Buying, Category Management or Own Label leadership roles.
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
- Experience developing own label or private label products.
- Strong understanding of sourcing, manufacturing and compliance requirements.
- Highly developed commercial awareness and category development capability.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify growth opportunities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to travel within the UK and internationally when required.
