The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-driven and analytical Assistant Finance Manager to join our finance team in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their finance career, with exposure across multiple areas of the business and the chance to support key commercial and financial processes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage the end-to-end customer rebate process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Calculate monthly rebate provisions and raise customer credit notes
- Maintain and manage a database of rebate agreements
- Perform reconciliations and variance analysis
- Support accruals, prepayments, and deferred income processes
- Assist with commission calculations and monthly management accounts
- Produce and distribute sales and financial reports
- Resolve queries and liaise with internal teams and customers
- Support the Finance Manager in improving processes and driving efficiencies
- Build strong working relationships and act as a key contact for account-related queries
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Finance, Mathematics, or a related subject (2:1 or above preferred)
- Working towards or planning to study ACCA/CIMA
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver accurate work
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
- A proactive mindset with a drive to learn and develop
