We are looking for an experienced and driven Inventory Team Leader to join our National Distribution Centre in Normanton. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate stock control, effective warehouse profiling, and smooth inventory processes within a fast-paced logistics environment.
You will lead and support the inventory and profiling teams, working closely with operational and finance teams to maintain high standards, drive compliance, and continuously improve performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Inventory and Profiling teams within the NDC
- Support planning, managing, and completing perpetual inventory activities
- Maintain accurate stock audit records and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Support stock reconciliation and annual audit processes
- Develop and deliver KPI targets for stock management
- Deputise where required and contribute to operational decision-making
- Drive operational compliance with agreed processes and procedures
- Promote a collaborative, customer-focused culture across inventory and operational teams
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety and environmental legislation
- Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational efficiency
- An effective communicator able to influence across operational and support functions
- Proven experience leading teams in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, process-driven operation
- Strong understanding of stock control, inventory management, and compliance
- Able to make sound decisions under pressure and challenge the status quo
- IT-literate, with experience using warehouse or inventory management systems
- Proactive, resilient, and adaptable with a hands-on leadership style
- Experience using Manhattan or similar WMS
- Logistics or supply chain qualifications
- Work within a large, modern distribution operation
