An exciting opportunity for a C+E HGV Driver has arisen to join our Lutterworth based Logistics Team ensure deliveries and collections are made in a timely and efficient manner throughout our national network.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Ensuring that the vehicle is equipped, legal & Safe – Complete Daily Pre/Post walkaround checks
- You will have responsibility for vehicle loading/unloading where applicable
- Adhering to departure times, ensuring the vehicle is loaded and ready to leave the depot on time
- Ensuring all relevant documentation is in place before leaving site.
- Checking load items, security and all necessary equipment, paperwork and fuel cards are
- on board prior to leaving the depot for the day\’s journey.
- You will be aware of the legal load capacity of the vehicle to be driven
- Unloading goods at the customer\’s premises safely, efficiently and always in a considerate and polite fashion, taking into account the care and attention for the general public at all times.
- Adopt a good customer service attitude and approach, acting with integrity and in a positive and courteous manner.
- Use, when required MHE equipment for the loading and unloading of vehicles and at customer locations when required ensuring equipment is only used if training has been supplied.
- Adhere to the Truline uniform & PPE standards
- Drive and abide by road traffic transport legislation, comply with Drivers Hours and Rules and Working Time regulations.
- Adhere to Company Policy and processes.
- Ensuring the vehicle is returned with a full tank of fuel. Vehicles are clean and in good working order at all times.
- Any other duties as and when required by management.
- Use company electronic devises (HHT) to record customer delivery and collection information.
- Obtaining signatures for stock delivered as proof of delivery.
