The Role

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Operations Assistant Accountant to join our Group Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their career in a commercially focused role, working closely with transport and warehouse operations. You will be involved in financial reporting, stock integrity, budgeting, and business partnering with operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts including variance analysis
  • Review financial performance with budget holders
  • Produce forecasts and budgets
  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations
  • Develop and monitor key operational KPIs
  • Manage stock reconciliations across multiple ledgers and entities
  • Support and lead stock take processes
  • Assist in improving financial processes and efficiencies
  • Calculate and review working capital provisions
  • Support wider month-end accounting activities
